Announcement of Library Board Vacancy

A vacancy exists for the Zone 4 position on the Deschutes Public Library System board of directors. Zone 4 serves Deschutes County precincts 2, 4, 9, 12, 21, 25, 33, 43, and 44 in east and southeast Bend. The term for this position will run from April 2024 to June 30, 2025.

Interested candidates must reside in one of the following Deschutes County precincts 2, 4, 9, 12, 21, 25, 33, 43, and 44. Any elector residing within these precincts is qualified to serve as a district board member.

The Board holds monthly meetings the second Wednesday of each month at 5:30 pm. In addition, the Board may hold subcommittee meetings and Board planning sessions in addition to the regular monthly meeting.
