James Beard, American chef and food writer from Portland, once said “Food is our common ground, our universal experience.”

Whether you are a gourmet, an epicurean, a gourmand, a foodie, a locavore, or simply someone who enjoys eating, Deschutes Public Library invites you to Know Food during the month of February. Programs are free and open to the public unless noted.

Carol Delmonico, of Bend-based Into Balance Life Coaching discusses how to rebalance your life by restructuring your diet. Free and open to the public.

Ruth Reichl, a treasured voice on the culinary landscape for many years is a best-selling author, food critic, and former editor-in-chief of Gourmet magazine, winner of six James Beard awards and serves as a judge on Bravo's Top Chef Masters. Discussion and Q&A followed by book signing.

One Chicken, Three Meals
