Dr. Stacy Sharlet, D.C. leads the way to feeling and living better when she kicks of Wellness Wednesday, the latest series to be hosted at Deschutes Public Libraries, with a presentation titled “Good Fats, Bad Fats, Body Fat,” at the Bend Public Library on Wednesday, January 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the Brooks Room.
“Achieving good health shouldn’t be a mystery,” says Dr. Sharlet. Sharlet, who has been in private practice in Bend since 1998, is a graduate of Logan Collage of Chiropractic and holds additional certification from the International College of Applied Kinesiology. She treats patients for various conditions, including allergies, chronic pain and the symptoms of menopause. Dr. Sharlet believes better health begins with an understanding of what it takes to fuel the body. “Fats have gotten a bad rap,” says Dr. Sharlet. “Some fats are essential to the body. I show people how to find the good fat, avoid the bad fat and come to terms with their own individual nutrition needs.”
This is the first of the Wellness Wednesday series. Each month, Dr. Sharlet will address a different health related topic at libraries throughout the district. For a complete list of the series topics, please visit Deschutes Public Library at www.dpls.us or call 312-1032. Wellness Wednesday is free and open to the public.
