Deschutes Public Library is pleased host a community book talk event on Wednesday, June 11 at 6:00 pm. The program titled “Let’s Talk Books” will be led by librarian Kathy Duffy and held at the Redmond Public Library. This program is free and open to the public.

Summer is a great time to catch up on reading. Nothing beats stretching out on a comfy lounge chair in the garden with a good book and a tall glass of iced tea. During “Let’s Talk Books,” Duffy will give brief overviews of all the hottest summer reads. Book groups are welcome and encouraged to come and share what they’ve been reading.

Kathy Duffy has been a librarian for 13 years for the Deschutes Public Libraries. Prior to her move to Oregon she served at a library in New Jersey. A voracious reader who routinely finishes 2 to 3 books a week, she also has writes a book review column for the Redmond Spokesman.
