Local Writer Suzanne Burns to Read at Bend Branch

Local writer Suzanne Burns of Bend will read a selction from her work at June's Second Sunday. This month's celebration of the written word will take place on Sunday, June 8th, at 3:00 p.m. in the Brooks Room of the Bend Public Library. This program is free and open to the public.
Suzanne Burn's chapbook, "Double Header" was recently published by Future Tense Books. It's a flipbook comprised of two stories and will appear next summer. Her first full-length story collection, "Misfits and Other Heroes" was just published by Dzanc Books. She also recently won first place in the Writer's Digest Genre Short Story category of the annual writing competition. She is currently working on a new novel.
