Local musical group Oldwave will hit the Sunriver Area Public Library stage on Saturday, August 16 at 3:00 pm and again at the Redmond Public Library stage on Thursday, August 21 at 6:30 p.m. The programs are free and open to the public.
Oldwave plays folk and bluegrass in the tradition of the Carter Family. Their music will take you back to the Appalachian Mountains of yesteryear, when times were hard and the music was simple. Oldwave has a style that combines elements of Bluegrass, Americana, old-time stringband music and Folk into a rustic style duly dubbed “American Primitive”. Their music features close harmonies, tonal Appalachian-Mountain style vocals and a steady stringband groove that delights audiences of all ages.
