Jarreau-Danner has used her vocal and guitar talents to share her love of music with audiences from Texas, Washington, Ohio, and now in Oregon. With her wide vocal range her repertoire includes contemporary tunes, classic ballads, blues, country, 70s pop music, Broadway show tunes and traditional American folksongs. She has also written a number of original songs that showcase her own love of the great outdoors and Oregon landscape. An accomplished self-taught musician, Marie counts John Denver and the blues and jazz greats from the 40s, 50s and 60s as her greatest influences. She has worked as an Air Traffic Controller, photographer, writer, and deep water shrimp-boat navigator.

 

During her performance, Jarreau-Danner will focus on familiar tunes from the 1950s - 60s and a few from even more distant generations. “If you've been around more than a few decades,” says Jarreau-Danner, “and remember the Kingston Trio, the Mamas and the Papas or Buffy Saint-Marie there's sure to be a song or two in this offering of musical memorabilia that will strike a familiar chord.”
