Date Posted:  1/4/2010

Join local writers Suzanne Burns and Adam Schell as they read from their work at the monthly Second Sunday program in the Brooks Room at the Bend Public Library.  This month’s celebration of the written word will take place Sunday, Sunday, January 10th, 2010 at 3:00 p.m.  An open mic will follow the guest readers.

Suzanne Burns’s first short story collection, “Misfits and Other Heroes” debuted from Dzanc Books in June.  Her writing has recently been called “Hemingway for Women” because it explores extremes of the female condition.  She lives in Bend and is currently working on a new novel.

Adam Schell, author of “Tomato Rhapsody”, is a former Northwestern linebacker, grapepicker, apprentice chef, and award-winning producer of short films and commercials. A recent transplant yoga instructor from Los Angeles, Adam now makes his home in Bend.

This program is free and open to the public.  For more information about this and other programs or ADA information please visit www.dpls.us or call 312-1034.
