The Deschutes Public Library and South Valley Bank are partnering to present the workshop “Resolve to Decrease Debt AND Save More in 2010” presented by Terri Rahmsdorf on Tuesday, January 12th, 2010. The workshop will be held at 12 noon at the La Pine Public Library, and at 6:30 p.m. at the Bend Public Library in the Brooks Room. These workshops are free and open to the public, and free pizza will be provided.
This 45-minute workshop will give participants an idea on how to develop a plan to systematically reduce debt and start saving for the next big “money need”, and how to use local resources such as COLINK (Central Oregon Low Income Network Kooperative) and Consumer Credit Counseling.
Terri Rahmsdorf is a local financial expert who specializes in consumer credit advocacy, and has been teaching Personal Finance since she became director of Consumer Credit at South Valley bank in 1996. She also regularly teaches personal finance classes at COCC.
There is no need to pre-register for this workshop, but if you have questions on this or other library events, please visit the library at www.dpls.us/calendar or call Lisa McGean at 312-1034. ADA questions also go to Lisa McGean at 312-1034.
