Date Posted:  3/2/2010

The Singers’ School, part of the Youth Choir of Central Oregon, will perform at the Bend Public Library on Tuesday, March 9 at 5:30 pm. The performance will be upstairs and is free and open to the public.

Founded by Beth Basham in 1990, this year marks the 20th anniversary season of the Youth Choir of Central Oregon. YCCO serves young performers ranging in grades kindergarten through 8. Directed by Carol Podwils, the Singer’s School includes second through fourth grade students in a creative, yet structured, small-class environment. Using music and movement activities and beginning vocal skills, the young performers get an introduction to  choral music framework. The program is designed to build confidence and teamwork.
