Deschutes Public Library Foundation Receives Generous Grant from the Oregon Community Foundation

The Deschutes Public Library Foundation was awarded a grant in the amount of $30,000 to increase capacity by hiring the Foundation’s first staff member. The Library Foundation will also contract with a major gift consultant and grant writer, as well as develop a marketing campaign for the Library Foundation.
“We are extremely honored to receive this generous grant from the Oregon Community Foundation and plan to put the funds to very good use with the hiring of the Foundation’s first staff person,” said Foundation President Michael McGean. “We hope to get someone hired very soon so we can begin focusing on securing future funding for the Library.”
The following funds supported the Library Foundation grant:
· Robert W. Chandler II Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation
· Morrison Family Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation
· Jerome S. and Barbara Bischoff Library Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation
