Know WarWhile leading the Confederate Army during the American Civil War, General Robert E. Lee said "It is well that war is so terrible, else we should grow too fond of it.” That simple phrase poignantly describes the impact that war, from ancient conflicts to contemporary battles, has had on humanity.
