High-energy comedy, cowboy tricks, juggling, puppetry, audience participation, and attention to great children's literature will be featured at the “Leapin’ Louise: Read! Fun! Now!” performance, presented by Deschutes Public Library.
This program replaces the Sleeping Beauty marionette show, previously scheduled but canceled by Stevens Puppets. “We are so thrilled that Leapin’ Louie (a.k.a. David Lichtenstein) could come to our libraries on such short notice,” stated Heather McNeil, Youth Services Manager. “He is a unique and hilarious entertainer, and I know the audience will be delighted.”
Leapin' Louie has performed his comedy variety shows on stages in 26 different countries around the world and he is a certified teacher with a Masters in Education. His programs are known not only for guaranteeing laughter, but also for promoting the importance of reading. This program is part of the Familypalooza series during the library’s summer reading program, “Dream Big—Read!” The program is free.
