Join artist Penny O’Halloran at the
La Pine Public Library on Sunday, September 16, at 2:00 p.m. for a look at what artists can do to successfully display and sell their artwork. O’Halloran designed this program, which is free and open to the public, to provide tips and ideas for artists who are looking to display their work in galleries, shows, art walks, and other public venues. Experienced and emerging artists will also learn about putting together a portfolio and how they can sell their work online and in local shops.
O’Halloran discovered her love for painting as a child. “The magic of that first discovery has never left me and painting remains one of my favorite forms of artistic expression,” she said. “A paintbrush feels more like a magic wand in my hand.” Continually inspired by art, she strives to share her enthusiasm and experience with other artists who are looking for ways to exhibit their work.
O’Halloran is taking art and business courses at Central Oregon Community College as she works to expand her entrepreneurial business ventures. Her art work has been on display in local art exhibits, including a month-long showing at La Pine Public Library. She is also developing a comic strip, “The Deeds of Petey and Keek.”
