Central Oregon’s winter landscape can spark creativity in photographers looking to capture a beautiful scene. Novice and experienced photographers can learn how to make the most of these opportunities when professional photographer Mike Jensen leads a “Live Learning Photography Workshop” on
Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at the La Pine Public Library.
In this interactive presentation, Jensen will discuss landscape and portrait photography as he shares a selection of images from around the local region and describes how and when they were made. People attending this presentation—which is free and open to the public—are encouraged to bring their cameras and their questions.
Additionally, Mike has invited La Pine expert bird photographer Tom Lawler to share some of the images from his recent La Pine Library show and discuss how he captures these amazing images. This portion of the workshop will be of particular interest to birders who have been captivated by the barred owl that’s recently taken up residence in Bend’s Farewell Bend Park.
Mike Jensen is past President of the La Pine Chamber of Commerce, Mixed Media Chair and Webmaster of the Cascade Camera Club, Board Director for the Bend Heroes Foundation and board appointee for the Bend/La Pine School District. In addition to photography, Mike and his wife Cindy own and operate JensenOne Marketing & Photography, a small business supporting small businesses with website design as well as graphic and layout design. Mike teaches photography and Photoshop through Central Oregon Community College as well as the La Pine Parks & Recreation District.
