AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is offering free tax preparation sessions for Central Oregonians at the Downtown Bend Library. Come to the library to learn more about tax credits and have an IRS-Certified Volunteer prepare your taxes. Taxes are prepared online, using IRS-certified software and then electronically transmitted to the IRS. Certified tax volunteers will also be available to answer some your tax questions.
These free drop-in sessions begin on Saturday, February 10, and continue every Saturday through April 13 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Downtown Bend Library. Visit http://cashoregon.org for a list of items to bring with you to the session.
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide offers free tax preparation help to anyone and has more than 5,000 locations in neighborhood libraries, malls, banks, community centers and senior centers. There’s no fee and no sales pitch for other services and AARP membership is not required. CASH Oregon, through a partnership with AARP Tax-Aide, supports free tax preparation and tax credit outreach in 32 counties in the State of Oregon at over 140 tax sites.
