Deschutes Public Library invites you to celebrate National Volunteer Week at Know Volunteering – A Volunteer Expo at the Redmond Library on Saturday, April 27, 2013, from 12 – 3 p.m.

The Expo will bring together local organizations with people seeking opportunities to serve their community. Potential volunteers will have the opportunity to visit volunteer programs from agencies ranging from Healthy Beginnings to Central Oregon Council on Aging.

Deschutes Public Library hopes interested citizens will take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to learn about volunteer opportunities in Redmond and Central Oregon and the invaluable services that organizations provide in our community. National Volunteer Week was established in 1974 to focus national attention on the impact and power of volunteerism. This year, it runs April 21 – April 27.
