Second Sunday: Women Shaping Writing in Central Oregon

Deschutes Public Library welcomes three working Central Oregon writers to the Downtown Bend Library on July 14 to read from their work and discuss “Women Shaping Writing in Central Oregon.” This event is part of the library’s Second Sunday series, a monthly celebration of the written word. The presentation is free and open to the public. An open mic follows the reading.
In this event, Elizabeth Quinn, Kim Cooper Findling and Emily Carr will read from their work and discuss their current projects. Quinn in the managing editor of
High Desert Journal; Findling is the editor of
Central Oregon Magazine and the author of
Chance of Sun; and Carr is the director of the low-residency MFA in Creative Writing program at Oregon State University-Cascades and the author of
Directions for Flying.
