Deschutes Public Library will host a free workshop on finding funders for nonprofit organizations on October 21st, 2013 from 9 am to 11 am at the downtown Bend branch. Registration is limited. Introduction to Finding Funders will be led by Nate Pedersen, Community Librarian at the downtown Bend branch. The workshop is a guide to searching the Foundation Directory Online, the Foundation Center’s top-tier database providing information on more than 100,000 grantmakers and more than a million grant records. Pedersen will offer tips on how to effectively search the extensive database for funding sources for your nonprofit organization. A 90 minute guided demonstration will be followed by 30 minutes for questions.
