The Friends of the Redmond Branch Library and the FORL Art Committee are thrilled to announce Falling Leaves an exhibition featuring metal sculptures from students from the Deer Ridge Correctional Institution Welding Program. The DRCI/COCC Welding Program consists of 19 college classes that result is a 45 credit 1 year certificate of completion from Central Oregon Community College. The welding program has been in operation since fall term 2009, and has graduated more than 28 students. The program enrolls only ten men a year and the selection process is rigorous.

Art work by Central Oregon artists will supplement the metal sculptures from Deer Ridge.

The Falling Leaves Exhibition will be on display in the Redmond Branch Library from October 5 – November 8, 2013.

Selling artists contribute a portion of the sale price of their artwork in support of the Friends of the Library which sponsors art exhibits in the Library.

The Redmond Branch library is located at 827 SW Deschutes Ave., Redmond, OR 97756. Library hours are Monday – Friday: 10 – 6 PM, Tuesday: 10 – 8 PM and Saturday: 10 – 5 PM.
