Krayna CastelbaumDeschutes Public Library welcomes poet, artist and transformational coach Krayna Castelbaum to the Downtown Bend Library on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at 2 p.m., for Second Sunday, the library’s monthly celebration of the written and spoken word. The event is free and open to the public.

For this special Second Sunday event, inspired in part by the Library’s “Know D.I.Y.” theme for December, Castelbaum will lead attendees through a poetry playshop. “This poetry playshop is an invitation to discard concepts about poetry. Instead, come enjoy dancing with words and images; give voice to your abundantly creative genius-in-residence,” says Castelbaum.

Castelbaum emphasizes that absolutely no experience with poetry is needed to take part in the playshop. Attendees will immerse in poetry selected by Castelbaum and will enjoy creative writing prompts, reflection and deep listening.

Krayna Castelbaum facilitates Depth Coaching and Expressive Arts Playshops for individuals, couples, groups and organizations. An artist as well, she integrates text into her mixed-media art. She is passionate about spreading poetry, dismantling inhibiting ideas about creativity and opening a door to the adventurous spirit of play.
