REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS - Courier Delivery Services

Deschutes Public Library District (hereinafter referred to as “DPL”) is requesting proposals from local qualified companies for Courier Delivery Services that meet the needs of DPL now and into the future. Areas of consideration include regular delivery service between numerous library locations, ability to handle a variety of totes, crates and containers of varying sizes and the capacity to grow with the library as it expands its services.
DPL delivers materials between libraries throughout the tri-county region including two (2) locations at Downtown Bend and one location each at East Bend, Redmond, Sisters, Sunriver, La Pine, Prineville and Madras. DPL also provides materials to selected schools with delivery drop sites at the Bend La Pine School District and Redmond School District.
This RFP, including contract terms, conditions and specifications, shall be available for review on DPL’s website beginning February 1, 2019 until closing (https://www.deschuteslibrary.org) or be obtained from Lynne Mildenstein at lynnem@deschuteslibrary.org.
DPL will accept responses until no later than 4:00 pm on March 1, 2019 at the Administration Building, Deschutes Public Library, 507 NW Wall St., Bend, OR 97703 and will ultimately result in an exclusive contract to meet DPL’s needs. Sealed proposals can be hand delivered or mailed to Lynne Mildenstein at the address above. No faxed or emailed proposals will be accepted. No proposals will be received after closing.
Proposals will be opened directly after 4:00 pm on March 1, 2019. Per DPL Rule 137-047-0300(3)(d), no prequalification for proposers is required. Selection committee members may not be contacted or solicited.
