What is Music Together?
Music Together is an early childhood music and movement program for children from birth through age five and the grownups who love them! First offered in 1987, Music Together classes help little ones develop their innate musicality— and much, much more. The curriculum has decades of research behind it, in both music education and child development. No class is ever the same and all activities are designed to be engaging and fun.

Young children learn best from the powerful role models in their lives and that's where the grownups come in! The family music classes show parents and caregivers how to help their children become confident music-makers just by having fun making music themselves. Children participate at their own level and when they are ready. There is no performance pressure. Children are encouraged to respond spontaneously to the musical environment and not required to sit still.

Music Together brings families of all kinds together in a warm, supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable singing, dancing, and jamming. Music Together classes can be found in more than 3,000 locations in over 40 countries. No matter where they live, all Music Together families sing and dance to the same music in the same fun, informal class setting. Creating lasting family and community bonds through music is a huge part of what makes the Music Together program so special.

About the Presenter:
Ms. Aria is a fourth generation music educator who has twenty years of teaching experience. Offering the highest quality of music education is her biggest motivator. She understands that everyone learns differently and thinks teachers should be able to present material in a way that accommodates all learning styles. She believes if a child hears fine music as an infant and learns to play it, not only will they increase their IQ and create larger growth for neural activity (among many other things), that child will develop sensitivity, discipline and endurance. In short, they get a beautiful heart. The power of early childhood music education is limitless!

Professionally, Ms. Aria teaches Suzuki and traditional violin lessons and Music Together classes through her small local business, Generation IV Strings. She has played in a professional symphony for the last decade and currently can be found playing violin for the Central Oregon Symphony, Bend Chamber Orchestra, Central Oregon Mastersingers, and the Cascade Chamber Players. She has taught general music, music and movement, choir and string orchestra classes to grades pre-kindergarten through 12. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of Florida and a Master of Music in Suzuki Pedagogy from Northern Arizona University. Additionally, she is a licensed Music Together center director who trained with Dr. Lili Levinowitz.
