Explore hiking, biking, and boating options in Eastern Oregon with Oregon Desert Trail Coordinator Renee Patrick.

As Central Oregon's trails become more and more popular, consider looking east for that next adventure and a sense of solitude. Learn about opportunities in and around the Steens Mountain Wilderness, Fremont-Winema National Forest and John Day River region. Oregon Desert Trail Coordinator Renee Patrick will share ideas for your next hiking, biking or boating adventure for an immersive journey into these unique high desert landscapes.

Renee joined Oregon Natural Desert Association (ONDA) in 2015 to further develop the Oregon Desert Trail. She is responsible for establishing the 750-mile Oregon Desert Trail, shaping its future, and inspiring others to get out and explore the high desert as much as possible. In addition, Renee leads ONDA's independent stewardship program and is working to educate and inspire others to experience our desert landscapes responsibly.
