The Hood River Issei : an oral history of Japanese settlers in Oregon's Hood River Valley

Interviews from the 1980s (the youngest Issei interviewed was 82 years old). Tamura collected oral histories of Japanese who imigrated to the US to settle in the Hood River Valley. Themes explored include cultural experiences, immigration, settlement, and internment during World War II.
