Books for Senior Living Communities

The library provides high-quality fiction and nonfiction titles that were once part of the circulating collection to community groups and underserved populations through our Sharebrary program.

  • Titles represent a variety of genres (fantasy, science fiction, historical fiction, nonfiction, mystery etc.)
  • Sharebrary items are limited in quantity and not guaranteed
  • If you are interested in books for your community, please contact Graham Fox at grahamf@deschuteslibrary.org

The Library Corner Isolated Senior Activity Packets

Designed specifically for older audiences, the library creates and delivers a fun, engaging, and visually stimulating activity packet monthly to isolated senior communities throughout Deschutes County. In every issue, a reader can find:

  • Uplifting articles
  • Free community resources
  • Brain games, coloring, and puzzles
  • Recipes
  • Health information
  • New books to read
  • Library resources and happenings

Contact Rya Fennewald at ryaf@deschuteslibrary.org if you are interested in a delivery of up to 30 copies monthly for isolated senior groups.
